hmmm... how do i do it? well, first i find a high res headphone image that's approximately the right orientation... i resize it and cut it into three pieces: left headphone, right headphone, and the middle part. i then position the pieces on the model individually... starting with the foreground headphone, then the background headphone, and finally the band over the top of the head, transforming and stretching it so that it appears to fit properly. i continuously mask out the parts that belong behind her head... masking and unmasking with the brush tool. i add some shadows to the neck and the top of the head with the burn tool... along with an independent shadow layer. the final step is adding the hue/saturation and levels adjustment layers and a tiny bit of gaussian blur to match the color and sharpness of the underlying model image. oh, and a nice little sparkle doesn't hurt either!
