this was just... a really good game okay
as much as I don't agree with Mary's actions in-game (especially in the "Together, Forever" ending!!) I sympathize with her a lot. It must have been difficult for her, watching all the humans walk around and have fun and love each other, give her a passing glance... a few moments of study... Then they leave. Forever. It really must have sucked.

I wanted to make the picture look as 'fake' as possible in contrast to the frame, hence the stylized roses in contrast to the blue and red ones... not too sure about the frame now that I look at it but oh well

This came out really nice, though! I love how you stylized it to give it that faux appearance, like an actual painting. Something that looks real, but isn't. Great job!
