Aw thanks! Didint think mine was near as good as some of the other amazing writers here so getting in the runner up's is truly a shock to me! Backstory: Indigo has had a small amount of magic ever since birth, as her mother is a magic user. She has only been able to master the ability to move objects a short distance, and for that reason doesn't use it very often. And yet, she takes a lot of pride in it, and even brags about the fact that she even IS magical. She loves to stir up drama, and is a huge instigator. She has caused many breakups and arguements between even the best of friends. As a child, she was picked on quite alot, so she swore to gerself that she would "cloth herself in confidence," so that she could talk all she wanted, and no one would be brave enough to stand up to her.
Other: She only wears her witch hat on special occasions, as it has been passed down by many generations on her mother's side of the family. It is very sacred.

Personality: quite condescending and self centered. she has no issue using those around her to help climb the ladder until she tops all other witches and wizards. however because of this she is very reclusive and refuses to reach out for sometimes much needed help and has pushed way anybody who has ever been close to her.
Backstory: When she was young she began to be taught witchcraft by her mother who was a long time member in the coven. Lorena caught on quite quickly and flew past all other beginners and was entered into the coven at a young age and she strove for the admiration. So she continued to study and become more and more powerful. Eventually she stumbled across a darker magic; a forbidden magic that was frowned upon by the coven. when Lorena refused to give up this magic she was ejected from the coven and forbidden to use any magic. Of course she never listened and she continued to build up her powers waiting for the day she could take out the leader of the coven. or now though, she takes out the weak links in the coven. using her mother as a spy on the inside until she can find a way to get herself back into the coven and be the all powerful leader
Other: Her magic is more flower based so all her spells are something to do with a plant or have the shape of a plant or flower as it is sent out with her signature being a small purple orchid and she uses the amethyst as a boost to make herself stronger and her magic is heavily based from it

Personality: Shy, but can be headstrong in her own opinions. Sometimes she is clumsy and blushes easily. Softspoken and sometimes seductive in her tone.
Backstory: She had a happy childhood but that all changed when her parents died of mysterious causes. When her parents died she lived with her aunt who was secretly a witch. Her aunt often left on business with her witch community. Elphine found out about her aunt's little secret when she was 11 and she secretly followed her aunt to one of her meetings. Her aunt was doing an important spell during that particular meeting and Elphine intervened. The magic hit her and caused her eye to be able to see the future but with the consequence of discoloring her eye to a milky white. She began to scream as she saw the horrors of the future. After a while the visions slowly stopped but still continued to haunt her. The witches gazed at her in awe and horror. The witches cast a temporary spell on her eye to stop the pain but Elphine need to learn magic to continue to stop the pain and to protect herself.
Other: The gems around her neck was the last things that her parents gave her. She loves people but is very timid to approach people. She often uses birds as inspiration for spells and her appearance.

She became much more careful after that, she likes being alone.( because most people think she's up to something )

Name: Amejisuto

Age/Birthdate: 2/18/1994, making him 22 years old (At time of posting) and under the Aquarius Zodiac sign.
Personality: While appearing to have a more brooding personality just judging his looks, one could quickly find hes quite cheerful and friendly most the time. It tends to make him happier to see others in a good mood.
Backstory: Ever since Amejisuto could remember hes been trained in the use of magic, not being very successful until his late teens. (So around 17-19) Around that time in his life he learned about the uses of enchanting, enchanting many gemstones for many purposes from magic warding to magic amplifying. He quickly grew to prefer working with the amethyst as its a very strong magical gemstone even without attempting to enchant it, making the gem's natural magical abilities twice as strong should he enchant it correctly. With a three tier necklace of amplified amethyst he gained the ability to see things others could not, one of these being a pure black three tailed fox creature with red eyes that seem to glow in the moon's light, it was in a fight with this creature that he lost his vision in one eye. Nowadays he works at a small incense shop in a relatively small town far from the one he grew up in, preparing for the next time he meets this shadow creature.
Other: His name means Amethyst in Japanese, it was not his birth name but the name he made for himself after moving away from his home town.
He loves to hang out in the local woods on nice mornings and evenings, just sitting and listening to the sounds of the land around him with closed eyes.

Personality: A badass bitch, Amara likes to make deals to keep his power in place. recently he found out his sister Aprils soul was turned into a demon, he's on the search for his sister. Amara can be a douchebag, but when it comes to his old buddies, he's there to protect them. If the world was ending he would pick his bitches and flee. Amara will use people to get to the top or to save someone when he needs to.
Backstory:Amara is a natural born witch originally from Finland, who has been around since the 17th century, before Amara became a witch he was a peasant and a son of a sales man, who had an affair with a man above his social class.
Amara would go on to abandon his sister, April and flee his village after he was charged with practicing witchcraft. It was during this time that Amara got the chance to study under the great Milanese witch, Abella Moreau, and join the "Grand coven" Despite Amara having laid with a "non-magic and hatched his spawn," the Grand Coven was willing to overlook her personal life because of the talent zhe possessed. Amara was expelled from the Grand Coven because her magic was considered too extreme: one spell he created was the "karkoittaa demonic" which was used to vanquish demons, the Grand Coven would ultimately lead to his being banned from performing magic, forming his own coven, as well as sending him on the run for years for having engaged in sex with a non-witch (romance). In 2016, 500 years later, Amaara resurfaces to reclaim his lost power base.
Other: Amara uses his powers to help others defeat evil, in fact, he saved two sisters from a demon attack. Amara is BEAST at demon torture, 2 years torturing to find his sister. eager to cure her.

Backstory: Even as a pup Caro was always interested in witchcraft and crystals, so as soon as she was old enough she brought herself a crystal making kit and s spellbook. Testing out fun new spells was pretty harmless right? Well. Thats what she thought.
The fun soon backfired when the crystal spell exploded in her face, and crystals became lodged in her left eye. After an emergency trip to the E&R she emerged with a permenant crystal like marking under her left eye and a blind eye to deal with.
Bullied and picked on at school, her personality harshly changed. On teh inside shes sweet, loving and vulrenble but the outside. SHes different, shes harsh, ruthless and enjoys hexing other students.
Her tail wasnt originally a raptor tail, it was a collies, but she didnt like how it curled, so she cast a spell on it, changing it and her teeth to raptor teeth. Her bite is lethal

Backstory: Born and raised in the town of Salem, she decided to spend her early life studying the ways of witchcraft and potionmaking. She set up a small shop of little witchy trinkets for superstitious guests, however in the back of the store she has an area set aside for real spells to help out high-paying guests. She can do everything from appearance changing, disguising, love potions, even sabotage and revenge, and everything in between - for a price.
Other: As well as studying in the art of potionmaking and sorcery, in her spare time she studied psychology, which she now uses to her advantage with her clients. By understanding the basic reactions, needs, and ways to persuade others she can lean her deals towards benefiting her the most.

Favorite color: purple
Personality: Boisterous, rude and prideful teenager. He is very brash and brutal as well as vulgar and irritable. He is insecure about his height (5'6 anthro) and curses openly towards people when things don't go as he'd planned or when people make fun of him.
Despite his childish and immature attitude, He displays visible hesitation when dealing with girls, often blushing, avoiding eye contact and stuttering around them uncontrollably.
Backstory: Being one of few saluki's where he is from made him feel mor special and good knowing he was different from everyone else and he never had a hard tme making friends. Though he mostly kept to a small squad for friends they did a lot together, like doing magic. He enjoyed the magical arts he wanted to learn more about magic and witch craft. Instead of doing what most would do and study, he instead skipped the book stuff and went straight to testing out his own ideas with his friends. He and his friends went to a magic school were they all were pretty much failing for not studying or doing much in class, they just took advantage of being there and played with the magic stuff.
One of his tests/ideas backfired causing him to lose the normality of his right eye. He sees what most cant out of his right eye when he focuses out of it, in doing so though it will give him a massive migraine for a little while.
Other: He is overly attached to his hat and wont let anyone else touch it, the feather and the necklace go along with that.

Personality: natalie is very outgoing at first glance, happy to help anyone in need. though she is wary of others, unsure of how to act around them due to her lonesome upbringing. grown feisty after past ordeals, she can be harsh and has grown bitter, sparking up arguments.
Backstory: natalie grew up, rather an outcast from others. spending most of her time alone, she was unaware of her natural talent in witchcraft until she dabbled with magic here and there. as time passed, others noticed her rather odd behaviour and soon learnt about her ability. suddenly many came to natalie, asking for help and, being the kind individual she was, tried to help them. at this point, news spread of her rather pushover personality and kindness, and many took advantage of her magic abilities. it was until a wolf came forward and opened natalie's eyes that she was being used, that she refused to help others. when they all continued to ask for her help, the saluki had enough of it. gathering her things, she ran away from her hometown, along with her newfound wolf companion.

Backstory: She was a normal doggo until she got lost and hid in a cave, and bumped into a purple stone that gave her these powers. She was found by a sorcerer and taught how to magic correctly. She loves her owner very much and would do anything to protect them. Eventually she went back to the cave and found out what it was, and made a little necklace of it as homage to a new life.

For many years Jinx wandered the world by herself looking for places to learn different types of magic. During her travels, a spell she cast went wrong unexpectedly, causing her to lose her right eye. While many may see this as misfortune event, the eye now allows her to see the magic that flows through out the world she lives on.
While she is on her adventures she collects all different kinds of magic gems. She found that more magic gems appear close to dense magical energy. Her eyes change colors based on the magic type she is using, but her main eye color is Amethyst purple.
Jink's most common use of magic is through crystals. The crystals that she wears upon her neck and around her tail help her channel the energy from the world and into her.
