Nazo was created and is own by SEGA. He was originally going to be in Sonic X and had appeared in a pilot trailer, but they decided last minute to take him out completely. Chakra-X Β only owns the animation he made, shoe design because in the trailer, Nazo's feet weren't shown.Β
