Nods, if your really sensitive you can sort of feel a tingle. I used to work with large tesla coils, in the 500 000 v range, they were great fun, but they could burn you if you took a direct hit to your skin. Any conductor though would work nicely to capture the lightning but not hurt you. I used to have a set of colored gas tubes we could light up by holding them in the high tension field and ground them through our own bodies.
