Along my travel through the internet I've seen some artists do this style where the bodies and extremities are ultra thin in an extremely egregious disregard for anatomy. Looked fun. So I gave it a try.

Wow man, this is great! There's nothing I suck at more than drawing a slim body. I love this piece! Look! She's slipping right out Of a cuff! You'd probably do a good job drawing Etna from disgaea. (This is not a request.....unless it happens...)

I REALLY love this one. I was way too happy with it.
Its funny you say that because I love me some Disgaea, and I've been wanting to draw Etna which is my favorite character. I have whiteboard where I write my drawing ideas and right now on the third spot it says "Etna watercolor".

This is pretty awesome! At first, I didn't realize it was a human head and then I realize she was standing backwards! I love her "bracelets" and her wolf tail!

I thought it was a monster, I couldn't really tell what the massive chunk of fur was. I thought it could have been a monster with a wolf tail and human body

What you don't know is that she is a monster, just neatly wrapped in the body of a cute girl.

the colors of tail and ears/hair are amazing! White and dark purple really fit together, and i like that it's a traditional, not digital art, yes actually it looks kinda unusual because she is so thin, but in a good way :>

Yup, the whole point was to see what she would look like if I tried non realistic proportions. So your head knows it a person, but it is off somehow but I think it looks nice stylistically.

It looks very great, I love the style with the thin bodies and the color is great! The perspective is awesome and the big cuffs are looking great on the thin arms!

I really love exaggerated styles like this, you can do so much more with poses if you mess with anatomy a bit

yeah I agree with that, messing around with proportions and anatomy is tons of fun, but I do thing I needed to have a working understanding of regular anatomy first, so after working on that first it is much more satisfying to do drawings like this now. I am really happy with the way her hair came out too, the idea is that she actually has really nice silky hair, but since she can't see, she doesn't really care. So she just sort of ties it into a knot the best way she can.

You did a fantastic job with this. The placement of everything appears spot on and I love what you've done with the colors. It looks somewhat dark. The wrist shackles add a nice touch to the piece.

Thank you! This sketchy style with just a splash of color is quickly becoming my signature style, I quite like it. This drawing is somewhat of a stylization, fashion, pinup thing, but in reality the character has quite a dark/sad story so I am happy that came through.

true but even though proportions and so on may be off you can still have a magnificent piece...thats art...making something that wouldnt ever be possible,possible...and thats what catches peoples attention....that and drawings that look more than realistic...there truly are some amazing artists out there....and a lot of them are on this site

# looks very interesting and pretty this work, i really like the detail of the tail also the chains broken gives a nice touch, the coloring is a perfect combination of just a few colors but nicely done to make her more llamative and the pose also is very good

I am really into the tail wave she has, and the broken chains are powerful. A personal favourite of mine is the pen shading and drawing of her body and hair. Her hair's bun is really nicely designed.

I feel you, it is really disconcerting because you know it it supposed to be a human, but the proportions are all wrong. That's why i liked this style.
