Sonic Vs. Knuckles: Knuckles wins!
This was a commission by :iconmeeper23: and definitely an idea that I hadn't thought of doing before. I was always a big Sonic and Knuckles fan, learning to draw from the games and comics, and I always sided with Knuckles in the games
I haven't drawn either of them in years, though, so this was a fun challenge to see how I'd do. It probably shows what point in the series I'm most familiar with, as Sonic is a bit more round rather than sleek... and he actually has toes.

Well, I was told to do Karate, but I don't know a great deal about the style proper. Luckily, this just shows the aftermath rather than the fighting

Well, Tails' and Knuckles' are closed. Sonic's gi being open is supposed to show that he took enough of a beating for it to be knocked open
Admittedly, my practical knowledge of martial arts attire is very limited. All I know is what I've learned from Street Fighter and King of Fighters

They mostly wear white gis, but some modifications are made depending on the martial art

Hehe. It's true; Sonic may be able to outrun Knuckles in the field, but in a sparring competition, Knux pwns. Boxing gloves plus spikes at the end of said gloves equals O+W to the 5th power.

Well, Sonic's not bad in a fight either
As much as I love Knuckles (my favorite Sonic character) I still have no idea WHY those spikes are there. Are they supposed to be his spines, with him being an echidna and all? Are they supposed to be his knuckles? If so, then why only two? Are they part of his hands or part of his gloves? These questions have never been answered in the games!

I'm not sure I've ever seen his soles before. Pure indigo, eh?
On the few occasions I've pitted Sonic against Knuckles, the latter has had the easier time winning. Guess you have to expect that from someone who never unclenches his fists.

Well, the rare times I've seen his soles, they were usually blue like the rest of him
Usually, Sonic and Knuckles are a pretty even match, but, yeah, I wouldn't wanna tangle with someone who has boxing gloves for hands...
