Who makes a song about Rasputin? I mean, we're talking about a guy who was thought to have magical powers to cure Tsarevich Alexei's hemophilia, and that when that didn't work, almost every attempt made by the czar's loyalists to kill him never worked?

I don't know, ask Boney M.! It's a catchy song, despite what Rasputin did.

In the lyrics they charge him with having an affair with the Czar's wife, which there is no verifiable proof.
However, they accurately sing about Rasputin's alleged curing of the Tsarevich's hemophilia, and how Rasputin became more powerful than the Czar.

As a history nerd, I knew this stuff already. But you gotta take some things with a grain of salt and stop complaining unless it's unbelievably inaccurate.
I mean, it's music, it's a catchy dance song. There's only so much you can do rhythmically without sounding like an idiot! "Lover of the Russian Queen" sounds ten times better than "Accused of being lover of the russian queen" or something like that. Ya have to think of that part too.

Let me put that song on my list of things I can't believe exist. And this drawing on the list of things I think are cool.
