Well atheists aren't the brightest stars in the sky. Atheists are more accepting of a progressive agenda, the biggest issues this day and age are rooted in political correctness, so obvious they would ignore issues to push their agenda.

Nut, because religion tell you to seek the others to give them the knowledge about god's love (AND how to hate the non believers because they gonna go to hell, and how persuade them to follow him in certain religions) Aka missionary work,
Atheists on the other hand cant resist the urge ofto arge them when they see some religious folk doing his missionary work, trying to make them change their views and joing them, even though that deep inside, they know, that while some of them can change their views, if they are happy with how "god's" treating them, or just doesnt want to stop believing, they would find force in themselves to arge against any argument they have 
The point is, that neither of them would accept each other in todays society... as they feel like the other is wrong and have the urge to change them, either due their god geting them to get moar adepts to their church, or the atheists feeling like "its their work to get them away from those totally wrong beliefs wich cause soo much suffering to the world"...

These fedora neck beard atheist guys go around bashing their beliefs on the Internet and make their profile picture theΒ Vendena. They say a lot of shit that they know they will get hate for, spending 3-4 hours of their day doing this. It's funny how they say God doesn't exist but then they talk about Him as if He does. A true atheist would get off hate train and learn as much about science as they can and share that knowledge with the humanity. Take Steven Hawking for example, amazing person.
Now as for radical Christians I don't see that much commonly. But a good Christian would know better than to fiddle around with bait

I'm Christian, and I agree with.
These two types of people can NEVER get a long (at least the bad ones). I see those Christians who think they're so moral, and those Atheists who think they're so smart. Then they get together and they're like:
Christian: BELIEVE IN OUR GOD OR YOU'RE GONNA BURN IN HELL!
Atheist: RELIGION IS BULLSHIT YOU BRAINWASHED DELUSIONAL FUCK!
Not exactly moral nor smart, eh? I don't really comment on religious stuff that often anymore, or anything else for that matter. I'm more concerned about people spreading hate to each other than someone telling me God doesn't exist.
