This is meant for those who understand that when someone calls something overrated, it doesn't mean that they think it's terrible. For instance, I think classic Sonic is overrated, but I still like some of the games from that era. There have been some exceptions where people acknowledge that some overrated things are terrible, but for the most part, it's not the case.Made with deviantART muro

TheTopTens.com's users have the belief that "overrated" means the opposite of what you think. I find The Simpsons to be incredibly overrated and when I made a comment about it on a list stating how I found the show overrated but respected those's opinions I got downvoted and was insulted by butthurt Simpsons faggots who cannot accept a goddamn opinion.

The same can apply for calling something underrated,nothing is there to be considered as overrated or underrated,they're mainly there for entertainment purposes. The main reason why people call something overrated or underrated is because they over analyze,instead of enjoying what the most out of what they see.

Because I ship Freddica, Fonnie, ToyGoldica and Springle, I say a lot of ships are overrated.
but I don't get offended when someone says Fonnie is overrated. I ship some of the most underrated ships in the fandom. I think that Bonnica and Foxica is overrated, but I don't hate the ship, nor the people that like it.
