Description Poem dedicated to the circus animal [link]

This is a circus bear doing something human. Tightrope walking on a unicycle. I sure hope he makes it alright.

I really like this- there really isn't anything amusing about circus animals.

no, its a hell life for them and people wonder why the circus elephants go on rampages.

I cheer for rampaging circus elephants. It is terrible for the poor animals. But then if you are a parent and you refuse to take your kids to the circus you're a "bad" parent.....

they have animal-less circuses. and I think with something as terrible as an animal circus, parents shouldn't be afraid to tell their kids the truth about something as heinous as that. It's worse to lie and let them support something that they'd wouldn't want to support if they knew the truth.

Depends on the age and maturity of the child. Up to a point in their development many children think of only themselves. Some adults never get past that point come to think of it....

I don't know why people seem to have such difficulty empathizing with animals. Bullfighting is one of the worst examples of animal cruelty. It is my personal pet peeve.

This is amazing, the expression and the color is wonderful. The colors literally represent the contrast of the circus atmosphere to the disdain of the bear .
And there's no mistaking it in this one, its definitely a bear. I love how you let the ink run. so selectively, he's crying and sweating.

It looks like he's about to stroke!

The only unintentional thing i did here is that i made "fire" at the bottom when I really only intended to make texture for the backdrop. But as I saw what I was making i stopped it at the bottom just so there wouldn't be confusion if I put it everywhere in the background. BTW, am i learning color better now?

I think you could stand to be even a little more adventurous with the layering of your colors, for example bringing the slight orange of the light source into your bear, reflecting off the edges of his fur. I like the way you let the ink run down, it might be interesting to let it pool and run in other directions too...

I think its okay that the bottom looks like fire because this scene is just a literal hell for your poor bear.

when i set my painting down on the ground so that the ink could pool, my rabbit got adventurous with my work... I hope the next assignment dave gives us will be appropriate for me to go crazy with the inks more
