Something along these lines I guess. Except since Chara doesn't know anything about the underground, they'd be way unsure of what to do and not as confident about anything in general here.

Oh, wow. I forgot to explain stuff in the description. K so after Asriel died Chara's soul just kinda mourned to sleep(like if you're grounded and aren't allowed near any electronics so you just take a nap. At least that's what I used to do. :/)
None of the other souls pulled Chara out of their "sleep" because they just weren't determined enough, which is why they all stayed dead. Frisk however, had equal determination to Chara. Plus a voice (Flowey) calling out to them was enough to wake them up.
