Well will you look at that I have a timelapse posted againnnn hehe it's been a very long whileee but I had lots of questions on my instagram page
about a couple crayola tests I did in the past and decided to compare my technique with the different brands.
The copic was done on toned tan paper that's why the colors are dulled vs the crayola ones but I think it's still on generally even ground.
I hope you guys enjoy this it's been a while since I've drawn a dragon and I'm hoping to get more artwork out soon.

The differences between the two are so subtle. The Copic is bolder and shows more detail, but the Crayola looks brighter. I liked seeing the whole process of coloring them on your YouTube video.

I believe that the only reason why one brand is more expensive than the other is not because they color better, but rather how sturdy they are. Take Crayola and Prismacolor pencils, for example. Both can color the same way, but Crayola pencils break constantly and quickly. Sharpening them only worsens it. Prismacolor on the other can handle pressure. Atleast, that is my experience with the 2 brands.
As for the dragon, it gives me life.

Yes supposedly the more expensive stuff is more durable and made from finer quality ingredients that just cost more to get but tbh prismacolor break wayyyyy too easily for the price point compared to other brands. And definitely break more than Carandache even tho those cost more. The crayola were good with me the whole time. Helps taking care of supplies tho

Ooo. I love this coloring style. Especially the gradients. So smooth and natural. The thick black outline kinda makes me think of comic books.
