Description He followed his king like a shadow, while the ruler created his darkness. He picked up traces of the night, becoming like his master. And one day the jester stole the empty crown from his kings's dead fingers...

This one actually has a poem to go with it, but unfortunately only in Russian:

I'm still alive, for those who wondered. But very swamped.

Your art and your story' re still great. It's a long time no see. I'm absent here for a while and It's really happy to see you're still good, and I see your portrait, what a nice shot, my friend.

Thank you. I'm barely here for the moment, skipped another 4 months ago. PhD is hard in the last year.

as always, it's amazing to see the narratives that you create with your work!
Very sinister and intriguing at the same time, that jester is giving me very strong assassin vibes haha. Makes me think he's the culprit of the scene even without the description! (which I do love, gives it just that extra poetic feel imo)

Well, the idea was that he was the shadow of his master, slowly becoming him, and then taking his place. He is very sinister.

never trust a jester... intense work with the things you show and the ones you omit. His pose seems a bit awkward with the arm drawn back like that.

Chanteur-de-Vent In reply to Linwelly [2018-11-06 21:19:08 +0000 UTC]

Definitely, especially a completely mad jester. The pose was taken like that to show the madness a bit more, he's like a broken doll, not natural anymore. But maybe it doesn't read like that....

And yeah, tried to be subtle with the details.

Wonderful scene as always! A little creepy, but really amazing.

You and your crows! hehe I love how they fly around the scene.

It was meant to be creepy, he followed his master like a shadow, picking up his darkness and becoming him. Until he took it all.

And yeah, crows again. Can't help it.

You’re welcome. That’s what art is about, right? Interpretation and the view of the artist getting through to the viewer or reader?

This is so dark and fascinating! I love the flight of the crows as they witness the crime. The Jester's expression is so wonderfully wicked!

Still swamped, but I got used to it. Looking at the comments, people just run it through google translate. Isn't that much off actually, I'm amazed.

And thank you.
