It's in the eyes girl, that's why this is soo populair, the eyes look like eyes... not like big shiney coconuts with weird little stripes under them.
And the shading, it's done neatly, instead of your usual scrappyness....
Not that your other art isn't cute, it's in fact, very cute, toherwise I wouldn't be watching yuu, but this is just better.

I was using something a little different for the shading. It it neater and straighter. I don't think my shading is scrappy. XDD
