Imai Ikari is the 107th cousin of the twins Shinji and Takuto Ikari as well as member of the immediate family faction of the Ikari-Phenex Clan during the Age of the Eternal War.

Also known as The King of Stranglers (Kōsatsu-ō), Imai is one of the affiliated fighters employed for Nishihonji Security Services and also one of Nishihonji's Seven Fists (Nishihonji Shichiken). He represented Nishihonji Security Services during the Kengan Annihilation Tournament.

Because he is very close to his famed cousins, Imai is known by the moniker Jujutsu Emperor due to his mastery of all variations of Japanese Jujutsu, which became Jiu Jitsu yet his skills are far powerful and often times extreme. He sports either a black Aikido gi or a BJJ Gi when facing numerous opponents in a dojo which is owned by his cousins, decimating the competition yet enjoys the workouts since he never really hurts his training partners.

He finds sparring with numerous prime Judokas to be thrilling since many are also students of Shinji and Takuto, which he himself is a sensei in his cousins' dojo. Imai is quite jealous of the Casanova status Shinji and Takuto have yet soon earns the title himself due to having a small collection of female fighters as his mates.
