Sorry, but I do not want my artwork used for such a purpose. Thanks.

I'd forgotten a little about this one, and I'm overwhelmed by it once more. Stunning. Epic.

You know, with the thing...
If you have a question, perhaps being slightly more specific would help xD

What software were you using? How does one go about making this? Is there like an initial image you take and then manipulate in order to get the desired effects or is it a blank canvas and u use various brush tools to create texture? Do u have any initial ideas when making one of these or is it the kind of thing where u r like "Wow, this looks cool, I wonder what will happen if I do this?".

Wall of text
The software used is in the description -- Apophysis 7x to compose the initial image, and Chaotica to render and do final tweaking to it.
Sometimes I start off using prior work of mine that I wasn't able to do anything with, or if I just like how easy and fun it is to work with. Most of the time, I start from scratch to create a 'base,' and then manipulate the base into something I find visually interesting. It isn't the same as painting, exactly -- think of it more as photography where you have control over everything inside of the scene.
fav.me/d4tqjj4 is an example of how I initially went about making pieces like this (over a year and a half ago), so visually it probably is the best description of it that I can present quickly. It's far different than painting in terms of how to make shapes, but I try to make it as expressive as I possibly can due to a lack of ability to paint or draw. There's a whole lot that can be done with fractal artwork!
That's not saying that this type of artwork presents its own challenges; I'm just very familiar with how it works and am able to manipulate it very quickly. I still run into problems all the time with elements not meshing together properly, or color schemes being hard to work with, but challenges are present in every form of artistic medium that exists!
There are times that I have ideas of what I want to accomplish, yes! Generally, once I have a base created, I tend to have an idea of what I want to do, but the initial shaping is entirely freeform. This isn't always the case, however; I've done "illustrations" for stories - a challenge group myself and ^tatasz runs is make illustrations to stories using fractal artwork).
That's not to say that I don't just do lots of experimentation and see what happens: I've learned a heck of a lot by randomly experimenting with things, and honestly don't see myself where I am today if it wasn't for lots of experimentation and a bit of luck when I started.

OK--- don't paint for NASA I try to stay away from your gallery. Every time I visit I stay to long.(as in longing).
I see the affects of Necrotizing Fascilitis - a really nasty flesh eating disease that has left only bare bone and some bloody spots.
You could paint for medical research and save lives by giving doctors a better visual of diseases.
Fantastic Image --- I hold your art close to my inter eye ---Gip

While I don't mind my art being interpreted with darker undertones, my goal was not to represent a virulent disease. To me, I see dragon (or some type of monster) with a polished head, and darker, leathery, thick skin around the neck. :s

Some of the other versions I had of this were a bit 'bloodier,' but this particular one was meant to capture the power of the monster itself.
