This would be a great wallpaper. I like how it looks like an astrological occurrence, or energy collision!

So, is making fractals kinda like taking a random DVD and pressing play to see what happens?

Haha, that's hardly the case unless you're watching me stream, as it totally elides the hours spent putting these things together. You missed the process of arranging the bits on the dvd that actually are played later on ^^ If it really were that simple, then I'd not be one of the only people (if not the only person) who makes fractals the way I do.
Just because I have a base shape that has a lot of potential with color and structure doesn't mean I can press buttons and magic happens. I mean, it can sometimes happen when I'm working with color, as having to explore color space manually with oodles of layers is pointlessly time-consuming, and randomizing the color space makes if far easier to see what the fractal can do so I can refine it into something even better. Still, color doesn't mean much unless I have a good structure that guides the color and creates regions of interest, motion, and texture....and structure takes time to work on.

Ahh, I see ^^ So, each fractal is unique and produces all kinds of fantastic results?

Technically speaking, I could render the same fractal in 20,000 different ways, zooms, and crops, and it'd still be the same thing.
That's not what you're asking though, and yes -- everything I create is unique, though some pieces are are closely related to each other and derived from each other.

Exactly! That's why Tron and neon colours look so good :3 (especially blue)

They're not quite black holes (literally) but they're indeed fascinating!

something so densely packed that it sits of the verge of being one of the most terrifying things in existence, yet being composed of materials like diamond and such that only appear under extreme pressure and heat is a beautiful thing
