Description
A red dragon taking a trip to Edinburgh and seems to be taking in the view whilst perched on the Scott's Monument, or perhaps it's checking out the castle as a new roost.Watercolours and some pencils for touch ups.

Yes I probably would have added scales if I had meant to. I sort of went off the dragon after I had inked him and thus decided to use the lineart as a practice for improving my light/shade contrast. I do not do my shadows dark enough usually and thus went for a simpler design so I could focus more on the lighting. Hence I love how it came out for the lighting alone, but thank you for your comments.

I know it looks good in movies but I doubt a castle can support the weight of a dragon.

Edinburgh's might as it on a rocky scrag in city center that is made from well Granite (is an extinct volcano), and the castle isn't tool tall, it sprawls more so it reckon the tops might get damaged but the majority would survive making a good launching point. actually come to think of it the best place in the city would be Arthur's seat...the actual volcano/mountain that is higher than castle hehe and has a crater like ditch at top that a dragon could curl up in XD.
