Urrrg, this is not good. I mean, it isn't bad for only two days of work (my other finals ate all my time), but it isn't good either. That's partially due to my rig's limitations, and partially due to my lack of sleep. But here is my sheep, animated.

And this is just a playblast, that's why it isn't particularly pretty or textured.

Cute animation. I had some problems with rigging on a few of my characters sometime.

I still think it was really good! You're very talented, even with time limitations and being loopy <3 X3 To reiterate an above comment, I love the cute little tail wiggle!

^-^ That was pretty nifty. Especially on only two days of work.

I liked the tail wiggle before it rammed the tree. =3

Two days?!?!?!?!?!? They expect students to animate something in two days?!?!? -___________________- Or was that you waiting till Sunday to do your work again? How much time did you have for your assignments in animation II? I need to start preparing a time management method for the upcoming quarter since I'm doing SCAD and AM again.

Haha, no, we had more time to do the work. Actually, for the final animation, we had around 3 weeks to do it. Unfortunately, my rig was all sorts of gay and glitchy, and I spent a large chunk of 2 weeks simply getting the rig and the blend shapes to work properly. I mean, gads, I spent two days trying to stop one solitary vertex on the very top of the tail from shooting straight up whenever I moved the body. x_x And then when I finally had it fixed, I had a mountain of stuff to do for Concept class, so it took greater priority. *shrug* For Animation II, I think we usually had a week to do the early stuff, then two or three weeks for the longer ones. Just do something short, like no more than 10 sec, and then you should be fine. You have this bad habit of doing this huge elaborate epic thing. XD

Ok, that's much better. I'm going to talk to my academic adviser and ask if I can be exempt from taking that rigging class. I'll explain to her that I'm strictly an animator and it would benefit me much more to replace that class with an elective slot so I can replace it with another animation class. Lateef was able to get out of doing the 3d animation classes and was allowed to take more drawing classes instead. Hopefully it will work for me too.

The Anim II deadlines aren't bad. I should be able to block out the assignment in a few days depending on which one it is. I'll be sure not to do anything epic, lol. I'm not fast enough for that. Plus my AM short is more important. 10 seconds is what I had in mind for the dialogue assignment at the end. I find that I really enjoy acting shots more so than ones with a bunch of physical stuff in them.

You can try to opt out of it, sure. But you know what? There really aren't that many great animation electives. I took 2d Chara with Phil, and I actually have to say that is the class that felt the most like a waste. He never really went over anything that Larry didn't already cover in Anim I, plus his critiques were so unhelpful. I look back at the work I did in that class, and I'm not really happy with any of it. *shrug* I could've done those excercises at home, for what it's worth.

If I have some general electives at the end of this whole SCAD thing, I think I'd rather use them on Sequential electives. *shrug* Unless Larry comes back or something.

Hm, its pretty darn cute! Not your best; I think its the legs start out in a funny stance.... and maybe because he only takes two steps before hitting the tree u.u But otherwise, its smooth! X3 I like his head; tis cute
