So as Christmas presents this year, I drew up some t-shirt designs and had them printed at spreadshirt.com.This one is the design I made for my Papa, because he likes chess. This design makes me happy, because I usually don't make many graphical-type designs like this. XD

Very clean! I like it. I actually come from a very big chess family (my great-uncle was a national champion and co-wrote a couple books with Bobby Fisher), so it's an even greater disappointment that I'm horrible at it. Strategy was never a strength of mine.

This is a really cool design, and a really unique idea for Christmas presents! How are the quality of shirts from that site?? It's hard to find decent custom shirts for a fair price...

They're not too bad for the price. Personally, I sort of find them a little bit grainy, and their site says the digital prints (ie, not 4-color vector prints they also do) will tend to fade over time. I can't vouch for the fading part too much, though Bri says her shirts from spreadshirt haven't faded. They sure beat Zazzle and Cafepress, though. (Those shirts are crap! D
And they beat the heck out of iron-on transfers, which was what I tried last year. XD Those iron-ons lasted a single wash, and were gone.

Gah! I just had a pheonix down moment. All these years playing chess, and I never realised the bishop was meant to be a bishop hat. I used to call him stiff neck, because it looks like a man looking up.
