These are my 10 absolute favourite Mario games, including character spin-off games and other spin offs. :3

1. Super Mario Odyssey - This has to be the most beautiful, amazing, most well polished Mario game ever!! It feels so damn good to control Mario that I just have an amazing time even just walking and jumping around! And the levels are so big and there's so much to do and explore, It's sooo damn good!! I never thought Galaxy could be beaten but the free explorable areas like 64 and Sunshine mixed with the polish of Galaxy and 3D World along with awesome new things like Cappy and new movement options and a much better co-op mode, this just beats Galaxy and every other game that came before it

2. Super Mario Galaxy - Some people prefer Galaxy 2 and that one is also amazing but I always preferred the first one because of the more in depth story and slightly darker tone and it has some of THE best music in any game ever. The galaxy felt so magical and beautiful, more-so than in the second one and it had some of the best power-ups ever, except for spring Mario xD.

3. Super Mario Sunshine - It was hard to pick whether 64 or Sunshine would be on number 3 but I liked Sunshine just slightly better because of the bigger areas and very relaxing summer atmosphere. Really fun levels and a great fun summer game Not the most loved game in the series and it has some flaws and weirdness to it but it's a great fun Mario game.

4. Super Mario 64 / 64 DS - Both the original and DS remake were amazing great classic platformers that changed the gaming industry and it has some very nostalgic feelings to me :3 I was born in the year the original came out which is pretty special and the DS version was one of the first Mario games I ever played
I personally think the original is better because of the more precise controls and music quality but the DS remake also added some cool new levels and characters as well as improved graphics of course.

5. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury - This game has so much to offer, so much variety and many cool things to do. 5 playable characters that all play different, tons of collectable stamps and green stars and great catchy music. This game looks slightly better than Galaxy and its HD but Galaxy still holds up very well. And Bowser's Fury was also a really cool side adventure with a fully open world to explore and lots of little challenges and Cat Shines to collect.

6. Super Mario Bros. Wonder - This has to now be my new favourite 2D Mario game. It's the best new 2D Mario since Super Mario World. The New Super Mario Bros. games were totally fine and good but they all kinda blend together and feel pretty uninspired and lack the charm, personality and character that THIS game provides. The animation, art-style, level of detail, heart and soul that was poured into this game is fantastic! So many playable characters including Daisy for the first time in a mainline Mario game, great fun new power-ups, very good level design and each level feels unique and memorable. The Wonder Flowers with the Wonder effects always surprise you with something new and I also like the voice acting with the talking flowers, even if not everyone is a fan of it, but you have the option to mute them

7. Super Mario Bros. 3 - Still probably one of the BEST 2D Mario platformers! The one that changed everything. Some of the best level design ever! Many fun power-ups, great classic catchy music and much more!! Mario World is amazing too but didn't have quite as much to offer as Mario 3 did, at least in my opinion. And when I once played this game on an actual original NES, I was sooo happy and felt so old school :3 Best NES game by far and some see it as one of the best games ever made.

8. Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island - Still the best Yoshi's Island game of the 3 by far. Great classic music, fun levels and cool art-style. Annoying Baby Mario sure, but it didn't ruin the game for me at all. Don't let the colorful happy visuals fool you, it's one of the most challenging Mario games ever at some points

9. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Definitely the best of all the Mario Kart games. All the playable characters, tracks and karts and bikes made this game really fun and it has the best online multiplayer. And with the booster course pass doubling the track roster to an astounding 96 tracks and adding even more characters and features to the game, there is truly no better Mario Kart than this one ^^

10. Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time - It was hard to choose my favourite M&L game but this is the first one I ever played and played through multiple times. I really liked the cooperation between Mario, Luigi and their baby selves from the past and the Shroobs. Also the hardest M&L final boss for sure >.< One of my favourite levels was the Yoshi's Island one where you went into the giant Yoshi Shroob called Yoob
