Though in some anime, some single-eyed guy said he used his own feet to calculate the distance.
Also, I once had long hair like that, fighting with that hair is like fighting blind... Both eyes get covered.
Anyway, nice pose ^^ colors and shadings are fine too.

Not exactly that hair, but I did have a non-emo long hair that compleetely covered one of my eyes, eyesight was not possible, and when moving fast,both of my eyes were covered.
Yeah, anything goes anyway, so ignore reality xD. Half of anime's haircuts are definately not for fighting anyway.
