The actual size of the sprite (and nothing else) is based upon 3rd/4th gen pokemon games. (Namely, the big sprites you see prior to joining the overworld.)

It's Ringo from the Puyo Puyo series! I referenced her appearance from Puyo Puyo 20th Anniversary this time. I find that it is almost impossible to transcribe the eyebrows. I keep trying to fit them in somewhere but in this case the eyebrow closest to her hairpin just... had no space. Sooo I removed them!

Once again, nothing too fancy but I don't know that Sega era tiny puyo sprites are a thing anyone has done yet. Sooo boop!
