Description Having fun with the Overkill Mod for Command & Conquer Red Alert 2. Stairships are the Allied equivalent of Kirov Airships, armed with mininukes and air-to-air missiles. I can't remember how many I had fielded, but the map was Sovereign Land, a 2-player map.

Of course.

Although, I've had just as much fun with Terran Battlecruisers on attack-move.

Cool, what does the Overkill mod have exactly?

-Apoc tanks went nuclear when destroyed (max 6)
-All nations gained another special unit or building (ex. Russians can build the Paris Tower from the campaign)
-Grizzlies and Rhinos were changed to medium tanks and cost the exact same
-Rhinos tuned into mines when deployed
-Consripts blow up like Crazy Ivans at 200 funds
-Allies could train Tyrannosaurs and Guardian GIs
-Soviets could train cosmonauts and brutes
-all nation-specific land vehicles had a build limit of 6 at a time
-both factions had access to robotic tanks from shipyards
-airdrops drop 6 conscripts/GIs, 6 Engineers, 6 Flak Troopers/ Guardian GIs, and 6 Yuri Primes(Yuri Gargarins?)/SEALs at once from 4 planes
-SEALs cause a lot of damage to vehicles compared to normal
-Libya is replaced with China
-Korea is replaced with Japan
-Soviets can have up to 6 MIGs
-Allies can have up to 6 Auroras
-Soviets can build 1 Nuclear Flying Saucer (Plasma UFO)
-Allies can build 1 Ion Sattelite
-Soviets get spies called Hijackers

And that pretty much sums up what the OVerkill Mod has (It may also be the No Holds Barred Mod in conjunction however)

I would also note not to play Red Dawn and Big Apple levels in the Soviet campaign unless you already have saved the games without the mod, as I found those levels to be rather glitchy to begin with (Red Dawn wouldn't load from New Campaign and Big Apple would end as a mission failed once the psychic beacon was up.

Even worse are tank rushes in C&C - once a soviet player gets hold of at least 60 Apocalypse Tanks on an inland map, everyone else is royally condemned to anihilation. Even better is my Naval Supremacy motivational

What I'm saying is that you've never experienced a massive onslaught with units en masse until you've played the Command & Conquer series on hard difficulty or online. Starcraft pales in comparison to this.

lol, true true, but my comment Was due to the popularity of starcraft in general, CnC games are loads fun as Well though

That I'll accept. I really didn't like how the Zerg were so cheap though - ten minutes of playtime against the Zerg and they've overrun the map already. That really did suck for me.

As sad as it is, I know someone who got through a five-month Comm. Tech. course at my school playing Starcraft on his laptop the whole time.

Funny thing is that the only thing he did in that class other than play Starcraft was write a culminating essay, and that got him through the course with a credit. Explain to me how that works.

This is a Catholic school we're talking about. The teacher didn't give a damn about how good he was at Starcraft, and the student didn't have a social life at all.

Korean kids must be taught how to use hotkeys at the age of 2 - two seconds and they're finished a skirmish in Starcraft!
