I'm an audio-visual thinker (I think in videos), so animation is just a natural extension of that. I'm much better at comics, I think, but through the years I've gleaned enough knowledge about animation to do some basics.
A tutorial on simple animations is on the way if you're interested in learning for yourself!

YES PLEASE owo My only issue is I don't have a program to animate
with...my only hopes are to just do lots of images and stick them on
a movie maker program called Vegas Pro

I make all my gifs in Photoshop, but there are free gif makers online. All you need are a sequence of images that have small changes between them. Those small changes are what creates the illusion of movement when viewed in quick succession.

Try Lunapic , bloggif (good for effects), or anything you can find that works for you. It may take a while for you to find the one you like best. Otherwise you'll have to resort to an open source animation program like Synfig Studio , industry standard ToonBoom's Personal Learning Edition , EmoFuri which is mostly written in Japanese, or Studio Ghibli's program Open Toonz . I hope that's enough to get you started!
Thank you for noticing! Back when I first joined the internet I thought of each forum post as a letter of sorts, and it just kind of stuck. I'm aware on dA you can make a signature, but I'm that n00b that likes to type it each time. I've been doing it so long it's kind of metal now I guess?

I'm actually thinking of taking up ToonBoom myself, since Flash has fallen out of use and is incredibly limited in drawing tools.

Actually, I think it's a good thing that Flash has fallen out of use. It doesn't work on all platforms *coughiPhonecough* and when the program does work, it has a tendency to crash. It's not a question of if, but rather when. So save often. The closest substitute is AfterEffects, which has a little bit more to offer than Flash, but you can't draw in it at all, I don't think. From what I've seen ToonBoom has the simplistic layout of Flash's work space, but has the drawing capacity of traditional 2D media (with some digital enhancements as well). I'm excited to get to work with it eventually.
