Description My interpretation of a Caribou anthro.

You know in the beginning I actually wanted to do an eskimo theme, since most are found in Canada and North America, but then as I was looking it up I realized.............ah....they wore caribou skins...................so I gave up that idea, lmao.

Sooo, I just went with a native american theme.

Learning time!

We call them Caribou when they're in the wild, and when they're domesticated we call them Reindeer. In Euroasia however, they're simply referred to as Wild and Domestic Reindeer. Their antlers can reach 3 feet. Females have them too.

Done in pencil and pen.

YOu know, I always wondered if the females had them, I never looked it up. I have the Elk in my alien Lir species as having antlers in both sexes- not the same species, I know, but if it occurs in the wild, why not in an alien?

Hands and feet are another thing. In the lir with hooves, I have them three-fingered. In those with toes, I have them 4-toed and five-fingered.

As always, great work!

Sounds interesting, well apparently it's not necessarily every single female caribou, but around 97%, so most of them anyways.

Thanks for the compliment.
