Description Thought I'd post this up, seeing as how I had over a month to work on it.

I had a long time period to stuff around on it but in the end, with doing 7 day weeks at my real job, I only could put an hour or two into messing around.

The original sketch was done in like, 30-45 mins and the original idea was to have gray fox breaking through office window glass coming at snake who was hiding behind a desk or something, but laying down colours kinda changed that idea.

The rest of my process just pretty involves me laying down colours but, colour issues with both my monitors kinda screwed me up and this took much longer than I wanted to work on it. Sometime when I'm really struggling with an image, I'll convert it to grayscale to work out tones and stuff, it would have to be the biggest time saver in all my work 'cos I can't really rely on just painting straight colour at the moment. I'm quite unhappy with the end result on colours for Snake.

I currently have a dual montor setup, one LCD(which I work on) and an old CRT monitor that I can check colours on(by dragging across work and looking).

Decided I'm gonna invest in a schmick new monitor and just stop this headache once and for all. Just gotta find a spare $5000. I've seen the one that I want. Its gonna cost a fortune.

I know which monitor YOU want haha!

I agree with rach, woulda looked much better if you left snake where he was but I don't think it makes him look fat

I would saturate the background or perhaps even more blurry than it is now, it's kinda fighting with the foreground a bit.

I'm no expert but did you raise the horizon? there's just something off about the perspective!

Anywho still a kickass piece of work, it almost inspires me to get off my lazy ass and DO something haha

yeah man it starts with an N and ends in a C !!! lol

My biggest issue has always been worrying if my colours are right, to the point where it eliminates all spontanaeity in my work.

I liked him better where he was to begin with but only if he was gonna be leaning on something, but that didn't happen. oh well...

And yeah, I did mess with the horizon somewhat, bg wasn't thought through, so I was kinda working with compositions instead.

BTW get off your ass and do some work.

you nudged snake to the right for the final work. not being able to see his side, where he stops, makes him look fat. that little gap under his arm make quite a difference.
otherwise digging it.
