When Gold says "It's all black" I assure you he's NOT talking about his vision!
Can we all agree that Gold's not in the best mental state right now? Before you condemn him though, put YOURSELF in his shoes! You just found you're dear friend, who you think of as family mind you, lying in a pool of blood mutilated with a bloody note saying "You're move Gold, -Waldo." You know Waldo's killed you're friends in the past, and you have reason to believe he just killed a man you've known your whole life. Would you be in a state of reason and understanding? Would you sit down and calmly think things through?
NO, YOU'D WANT TO HUNT HIM DOWN AND TAKE HIM DOWN! Gold's determination has always been a strength, but in his pursuit of stopping WALDO he's not listening to his team saying that HYDRO'S the culprit. Ugh, so much drama! (But I luv da epic dramaz!!)
And Pokey, Golds water type, was sleeping in his pokeball the entire time. What a lazy bum!
Fun fact: As I was drawing this my dad walked in and gave me a strange look when he saw my creepy images of depressed Gold. I merely smiled and explained that one of my characters was simply having a mental breakdown, to which my dad responded by blankly saying "Yeah, that seems to happen a lot"

But no, in all seriousness Gold's not really in a stable state, all he's thinking of is moving and finding Waldo. I don't think getting physical and making him stop what he's so determined to do would go over very well!
