Description
It was Christmas Eve...when Jane Shepard came home, she found her fiancée Samantha Traynor in quiet depression. When she saw her beloved Jane, Sam quickly stood and said passionately, "Jane, I...I don't know what to say, I am so sorry!"

Jane was surprised and worried...she asked, "Sam, what are you talking about??"

Sam was ready to break into tears. "Darling, I...oh lord, I've had so much time to prepare, but...but I couldn't think of anything to give you for Christmas!"

It took a surprised moment for Jane to realize, and then she laughed! "Oh, my dear Sam! That's all you're worried about??"

Exasperated, Sam cried, "'That's all?!?' Jane, I've been trying with all my might to think of something for you for weeks! And you never gave me any suggestions, which didn't help!"

Jane was drawing closer to Sam as she reassured, "I didn't have to, you know? I wasn't worried about what you'd give to me...!"

Sam blurted, "But there are so many presents under the tree, and they're all from you to me! And I...I-I've been so bloodly thoughtless, I honestly couldn't think of anything wonderful to gift you with...!" She did begin to cry then... "I-I know you so well, but I can't think of a damned thing to give to the woman who saved the galaxy...!"

"Oh, hey...hey!" Jane was there and Sam suddenly felt her hero's touch, and the sensations provoked were beyond wonderful. Jane wiped one of her beloved's cheeks as she affirmed gently, "You didn't have to get me anything. No gift in the world could matter compared to what you've already given me...what you've given me is all I could ever have wanted, my dear."

Dear Samantha gazed at her beloved doubtfully... "Huh...?"

"You gave me you, my dear, sweet Sam," Jane said with complete devotion as she began to cry, too. "You gave me your love, and I could never need or want anything else. I have you, and you're the most perfect gift I could ever imagine." Jane kissed one of her beloved's wet cheeks softly...

And Samantha felt as blessed as Jane did then. "Oh, darling...you're all I could ever have wanted, too. To be loved by you..." The Specialist almost fell into Jane's arms, she was so overwhelmed, and they both embraced. "Thank you...oh, thank you..."

They kissed with a tender passion for a time that neither measured. Jane said lightly, "C'mon, Sam. Get yourself together. Guests should start arriving for our Christmas party real soon, right? I'll help set things up."

Sam nodded slowly, her expression euphoric...she wanted to melt into Jane's arms every time they held one another. She murmured dreamily, "Mmm, of course, darling..." Sam gathered herself and looked into Jane's eyes. "I do need to say...I did think of one gift to get for you..."

"Oh, yeah?"

"Oh, yes," Samantha said, and the smile on her face was getting naughtier every second. "Um, actually, it's for us. And unfortunately, it's not something I can share with you during the party. It's ah, private, darling." Her dark eyes looked into Jane's with quiet hunger. "Something to make things more interesting in our bedroom tonight. And any other night we might desire..."

Jane giggled as her face nuzzled her beloved's...she purred, "You're definitely a gift who keeps on giving, my dear..."
