Of the Ivory Ghoul:

The Ivory Ghoul is a curious race, native to western Ethrax and eastern Esmya, particularly in Fae’s Forest. Their appearance is queer, adults being between five and six feet tall, with white skin, excepting black “socks” and “gloves”. They have large oval eyes with pinprick pupils to help them in the bright light. They have bony, stilt-like legs that end in a point instead of a foot, reminiscent of an en pointe ballerina.

They are always very thin, because of a combination of their very fast metabolism and strange eating method. Their mouth is not on their face, but at the juncture of their chin and throat. They stuff themselves full, until their bellies distend, then sleep for an entire day, absorbing the nutrients, then vomiting the rest back up. They do this because they have no lower digestive system.

Ivory Ghouls have no gender, for all of them are hermaphrodites (having both sets of parts). Any pronouns will do. Most of them speak Common and consort with humans, elves and dwarves, but some live in secluded tribes that speak a perverse form of Fae’s Tongue by choice. No Common is allowed in these tribes, but they say if people are willing to learn their language, they may join them, no matter their race.

They mature at the age of 20, and live to around 150. They form tight families for the winter, mate, and separate after the egg is laid in spring. The child is buried in the thawing earth, where it grows, and eventually surfaces after ten years to fend for itself, much like a cicada. They then go out into the world to grow and live.

Of their culture, they are proud artists, loving song, dance and theater. They sometimes dip their legs in ink, then dance upon paper, making paintings.
