Something that's been lying around on my computer unfinished for a long time now, probably for a very good reason. D:There's also a good reason why I don't pain rain.
Anyway, spent an hour or so 'finishing' it. Yes, I know it sucks, don't PELT me. >_< The 'rain' is a mixture of a custom brush and painted strokes.
The awesome among you will know that's a Sigur Ros title... lacking the damned 'é'! :C

I think the coolest part about this is how the girls face is so clear and detailed down to the freckles, while the rest isn't quite as clean cut. Definately draws the eye to her face, and for good reason. Excellent work, even if you think it isn't.

Looking at your art always make me feel dragged in two directions. Should I feel inspired that there is a chance I'll sometime be HALF as good as you, or should I feel down for the fact that I probably need to sell my soul to do so?
I think you did an awesome job with the rain! Many (harrharr... me included) use filters or quick solutions to render rain, but your way of doing it looks much more dynamic and lively. 83

reminds me a bit of Malcolm in the Middle at the opening there's a guy whos standing in the rain almost same color sheme ...whatever ^^
it looks a bit like it could need some more splashing water on the surface of the coat, awesome pic though love that face expression and especialy her mouth

I'm alittle obsessed with our style, it's very elegant. I really like the fact that the whole picture is blue, and then her face in another strong color, gives focus to the face. What I really like here have to be the mood the picture gives me. A sad one, but I still like it.
You know I would comment on the rest of your gallery if I had time and all that stuff but I'm a slow and easily stressed person who always has too much to do, so. Let's just say that your gallery is really beautiful and I'm pretty often sneaking around in it when I have time over.

very good picture! the face is beautiful, as always, but there's something with the colours around that bothers me. maybe it's because her clothes are the same as the background... and the rain looks somehow like a wind. I suppose the drops should be shorter and less blurred. but I like it anyway : )

i think its definitely hot, but i agree the rain does need something, i can put my finger on it. maybe its because it doesnt have enough depth, it doesnt feel like the character is surrounded by the rain ( i hope that makes sense, if not let me know ill try and explain it better) regardless i definitely like it.
