I managed to catch a glimpse of the sun between the trees as I was hiking through this forest, shortly before sunset. This was also one of the first snowfalls of this season so far here in the Black Hills.Related content

It was quite the fortuitous moment. If I had swiveled my camera to the right to capture this scene even just 10 seconds later, I would have missed the sun peering through the clouds and trees as it was here. I waited for a while longer after I got this shot to see if it would come out again, but it never did.
