Great drawing! I like your take on the character designs where your style shines through in that world! It's interesting seeing your textured colors combined with the darker color palette of the game and it works very well! The scratched edges and faded background image adds a lot of personality for this and would make a great cover for a game box!

I see someone playing a good game. I'm trying to get this game by trading "They bleed pixels"
Imagine if "super meat boy" and a fighter "Metroidvania" game combine into one with the "Alice madness return" designs. That's "They bleed pixels"

I have the game acctually and its up for trade.
Im trying to trade it for dead cells, dont starve together, hollow knight, or any related.
Idk why though I strongly feel as the game would be better off without trading it.

Oh wow, this looks great! I love the coloring, it suits this style and these characters very well. By the way, have you played this yet? I'm waiting for it to get on the Switch before I buy it, but everything I've heard so far seems to be really good .

i'm playing it at the moment, yes. but the hornet boss is giving a hard time, so I'm stuck.  i love it very much however.

nah. my laptop can run it just fine. and it barely runs Dark souls 2. it's quite a successful game, in both design and story, yes.

Lucky you, back when my laptop ran it could barely run Super Meat Boy . That's great to hear, I love a game that is original and unique and is actually successful, instead of being buried under a metric ton of FPS' .

a bit frustrating for a 2d perspective. she had two moves where the starting animation kind of look similar. one she throws her needle
(the range on that so dumb lol) and the other she does a lengthy dash move.

you can dodge either one but i don't think i catch it as fast as the pros lol. the trick is to stay semi-close to her just in case she does her 'needle berserk' move in the air. 

also if you just touch her (or any enemy) that counts as damage. there's no 'phantom' you can summon of course. it's all you.

you don't learn any of special moves until after so you're stuck with a simple jump and a soul blast but you have to use that sparingly since you have a choice of either healing or attacking with a special attack. :/ the technicality is clever. the souls meter is the fp meter. in order to regain health, you have to stand aside and 'focus' with B (on the controller) like drinking an estus flask. but the arena isnt very wide so you have to time it and makes some distance between you and the enemy.

both this game and dark souls require critical thinking or else severely punished. i died to her about 9-10 times and that's like me trying to learn like the first four bosses in a dark souls game. so it's about the same to me. some bosses are easier, like in dark souls as well.

but when you die, you start back at the bonfire--in this case the bench, but you CAN'T teleport, for platform game too trekking all the way back to the boss (if you couldn't find a nearby bench) is A PAIN IN THE ASS.

it has the 'one chance to redeem your souls' in this case however souls isn't the currency of the game. its geo. if you want them 1000 geos back, go fetch lol. the way to retrieve them is to return to the spot you died and fight like phantom of yourself.

it's dead in two easy smacks, but it can fight back if you're slow, with a soul blast.

No, don't apologize at all; that was a fascinating read. I never thought much about game design and the little details to strike a good balance in terms of balancing a Souls-like. That's pretty interesting though.
Have you ever considered going into game design? It seems like you know a good deal about it and your art shows you have plenty of creativity, so I think a game made by you would be great .

i used to major in game design at my first college but the program sucked the life out of me, at least it did there. :/

Oh alright. I had a feeling you took a course; you paid a lot of attention to things most people wouldn't even think of. Sorry it wasn't your thing though.

I mean, I ain't saying they're great but I have some game concepts I've been working on. I'd love to get an actual game designer's opinion on some of them if you wouldn't mind hearing them
