A painting I did for the Self Portrait Competition.
Model is myself and all painting is by me.
So a bit about this painting, it's based off my photo of me with my dreads [link] and the ice queen representation symbolises a few things. First of all i adore the cold weather and secondly 'The Snow Queen' is one of my fave fairytales. It also represents the cool, calm and collected side of my nature... although i have a very fiery side to lol.
I recorded myself painting this one so when i put it on youtube i will be sure to let you know.

A very soft, ethereal image that captures your eye the moment you see it. I love the cool colors, and the way you did her hair. The use of variations of one color is a wonderful technique. It works so well in this piece. I think you did a marvelous job on this deviation!
