may I ask which "paralell-universe-story" this is?
Or more like, is there a pre-story to this? Why does Nick have a collar, why does Judy have the remote, why does it seem like they don't know each other that well previously?

It's based on the original concept of Zootopia where all predators have to wear a shock collar to keep their emotions in check, and the reason Judy has a remote is because she's a police officer. All cops have the key to the collars so they can remove the collars for emergencies.Β
