Description

So I wanted to practice drawing environments. I usually start out with some random fantastical setting and get frustrated when I can’t capture what I see in my head. I decided that drawing what I was most familiar with would be a better place to start.

Meg is one of my best friends who lives good three hours away from me. She comes some weekends and we stay up late watching cartoons and talking about our stories/lives/everything. She’s helped me through a lot of tough times. While I’m definitely a night person, I think my favorite times spent with Meg are the mornings. I wanted to try to capture the warm feeling of the sun and the joy of waking up and talking about art with a kindred spirit while you slowly drink warm cups of coffee. I love these moments, and I know that they will be sprinkled throughout the rest of our lives no matter how far apart we live. I look forward to many more bright mornings.
