I don't think she's leading him on. I mean, being in love with two people is damn tricky and painful. She knows she's going to hurt one of them and wants to make sure that if she does leave Stefan behind completely for Damon, it's because she's definitely in love with Damon too. (: I just reeeeaaally hope she chooses Damon.

I love your explaination m'dear - I agree with you, just I feel sorry for Damon because he probably feels like she's giving him false hope. I mean the next episode she asks Stefan to the Dance and Damon apparently gate crashes it..

Well it says she chooses who and then there will no longer be a love triangle. So it may just go that way, but I don't think it would be any fun if Elena isn't with one of the brothers. But if that happens who is Elena supposed to go with? urgggh too many possible endings.

I saw an article in which the writer said that the choice she makes at the end of this season won't be THE choice of the series. So even if she does pick Damon at the end of this season, it won't necessarily last long. D:
