Description St Mary Church is situated at Minera, a small village situated on the outskirts of Wrexham, North Wales. Minera was famous for its Mines and still got the remains of the headgear and buildings standing as a reminder of the days gone by. The church stands very secluded and it was a nightmare to photograph as no clear shot was really possible. Hope you like anyways. xxx

the lens effect really makes this an eerie image. good work with the overall sharp focus as well!

very nice.
I think with the black and white, the texture of the stones stands out so well. Or maybe that is the HDR, which I'm not familar with.
Anyhoo, it is really lovely with a lot of things to keep the views attention.

Yes.. the HDR can give textures much more detail and clarity. Personally I like that effect in buildings more then I do in landscapes. xx

Love the texture of this image, did you use HDR photography?

Yes .. it was. the light was so difficult to control that HDR was the only way lol xx

To be honest i really rate HDR... a lot of photographers dismiss the post process but i think a brings every image to life! I'm still learning, and need to get myself a decent tripod to try out some HDR landscapes

I like HDR in architectural shots more then I do in Landscapes. The details an HDR can bring forth in the texture of a building can be rather magnificent. I only rarely use it for straight landscapes though as the same increase in details can look false and make the image "strange" looking. But its just a personal taste and I have seen landscape shots done in HDR with are just awesome. Maybe I am not doing it right lol. xx

Really pretty! Really nice framing with the branches coming around the top. ^_^ Nice usage of black and white.
