Ginger is a quirky pony with a love for electronic music. They're a lot more mellow and relaxed than the rest of their energetic family, but they still know how to have fun. They also prefer more subtle comedy, usually involving sarcasm and dry humor, which can be left with mixed results depending on who they're with. They're compassionate and thoughtful, they want to leave an impact with their music. Taking a job under Vinyl Scratch's metaphorical wing helped them discover how much they love being a DJ. Although their grandma Cloudy Quartz hates that sort of music, she always seems to tune in whenever Ginger is on the radio.

Because of their little less than two year age gap, Gingerbread is closest with their older brother Strawberry Cheesecake. Since they both love baking, they bond with their mom over various treats (Ginger specializes in cookies, while Cheesecake and Pinkie do the cakes)

Trivia:

~With their younger sister Cinnamon being deaf, Ginger strives to make their music accessible to everypony. Cinnamon loves the electronic music that they make because of the vibrations.
