When Darcy was a kitten,I really was quite smitten,
With my little ball of fur.
I received him on the day
I turned 15, Hooray!
But how was I to know?
He was my "baby" from day one,
and sometimes "thermal" on days of sun,
But on the day he left me, he was My Baby Darcy.
He was in so much pain,
All day it drove me insane,
Until the vet called to tell my mum he must go.
NOT MY DARCY, NOT MY BABY! I screamed at her
Knowing I'd never again hear him purr,
Yesterday when the vet took him away.
Goodbye my baby,
my little,
Mr Darcy.
