It only took me like... a year... but I've finally got a nice new revamp to those dragamanders I drew a year ago! I've taken them in a more axolotl direction now : D

This new set is based on avian dragons, sporting many feathery wings and an innate ability to float. Some sport the patterns of real birds, and others are completely wild in design.

Dragamanders grow in freshwater ponds and streams, from the residual magic of dragon eggshells, scales, and bones, considered a spontaneous creation of the elements of fire and water as they neither breed nor eat. Given the issue of ethically acquiring dragon bones and scales, most Dragamanders are caught far from their place of origin. Their appearance is thought to be based on a combination of the dragon and water source they are born from. The slimy residue on their skin, also known as Dragamander Oil, is used in potions that aid in escape from danger.

These are all one-offs and not a species, the lore is completely optional and just lets me explain making all kinds of cute semi-dragons. These ones are basically little bird-lizard dragons : D
