Description EDIT: Thanks to for adding!

This is my first tutorial ever! I've been meaning to make one for a very very long time, but I finally remembered to document my steps to use them for one!

There's a couple tutorials similar to this that I've found BUT I guess this is just my spin on it.

I will reiterate what I stated in the tut: I'd love to see any works made using this tutorial's method! And I'd also like to hear any spins or variations you guys might have on it!

I sincerely hope you enjoy, and than everyone who reads it takes something out of it.

Thanks for the tut! This is something a lot of starters seek when trying to understanding working from grey scale to colors.

thank you for the tut. I have painter and not Photoshop, but I think it will work basically the same. At least, I hope it works the same. . . .

You are welcome. I LIVE TO SPREAD WORDS

But visuals help, what if the person's a visual learner? >3>

They may be. But what if they're extremely squeamish?
That's what I was hinting at.

Ah. Well you could always do a PC version for those who are of the squeamish variety.
Or just have 'em read it like you stated earlier.

uu this is so awesome ^^ i just so wanna try it ;A; i don't think i have the skill to do it properly but you learn from your mistakes so i'll defiantly do it whenever i get time CX think i need to spit up a more realistic fantasy drawing than the anime shit i'm drawing now o.o'

Thanks! And don't say that, any one can do it! There really isn't an inherently wrong way to do art. I admit, this coloring method seems to suit painterly type pictures more, BUT I'd be interested to see how it turns out on something cell shaded/cartoony. >v>

XD maby i'll turn my courrent drawing to grayscale when i'm gonna shade it XDDDD or.. that would be kind of point less c: i think fanatsy realisticish looks better than anime, but some people draw anime really good, but still XD i have a weak spot for fantasy c:
