Well I add a little bit of chromatic abberation (add a copy of a layer, then switch off the red channel in layer properties, then move a little the layer up-down and left-right) to imitate the camera, and then I use the Alien Skin Exposure X3 plugin and/or Brighness / Contrast + Color Correction
