Description
Something I was working on in the fall, it's a demon that sucks blood out of you!It's my own concept, mostly just for my portfolio. Painted in photoshop

Just like to point out that that looks like quite a warm humid environment; wearing plate armour really cuts down your ability to dump heat, which might have contributed to the dead guy's corpsification.

Like it, original concept, doesnt seem that kind of "demons", but its more Scy fy-ish. Good art overall.

I love this demon concept, demon or not its an anomaly to the human mind, "fear of what we do not know or understand" can only imagine something like this moving through the woods and or jungle "eeeek" my question is, is it fast or slow and is it elusive or its presence well known by its surroundings?

this has been in my favorites for a long time but i really like the design of this creature. very simple yet interesting. its fantasy yet it doesnt cross any lines by asking you to suspend too much disbelief and render it silly. it obviously doesnt exist yet looks believable.Β

There were very few documented sightings. They say the strange creature lived in a rain forest that was dense in foliage, but sparse in any other kind of living creature. Of the many people that decided to explore that unforgiving and generally horrifying area, only a very small number returned. There were many varied descriptions of the creature, ranging from, "A towering, ash-white figure with long arms and heavily muscled limbs," To, "Human sized and gray, with bony arms and a large sack on it's back." The locals who lived nearby have heard strange noises, described as an unearthly shriek, and those brave enough to venture out of their homes at night have reported seeing small, glowing white dots, just at the edge of the trees; three pairs of them, one on top of the other. Even during the day the village at the edge of the jungle had an eerie feeling to it, like something was waiting just inside of every shadow, watching, waiting for an opportunity to strike.
It was midsummer; the season where attacks were at their peak; at least one every week. Nobody dared to go outside at night, and only a select few traveled in the daytime. many of the locals offered sacrifices of sheep or goat, in order to keep the creature at bay, but many times, they were left untouched. A few days after yet another local had gone missing, a brave scientist decided to go out and find this creature, hopefully to capture and study it. He was welcomed with an enormous celebration, and was presented with ceremonial armor, said to protect those who had the heart of a true warrior. Many of the priests and shaman had said he had a very strong warrior's heart, and that the armor was sure to protect him from the demon of the jungle.
How sorely wrong they were.
The scientist had only journeyed five minutes into the jungle, when a rustling in the trees caught his attention. Working quickly, he set up a motion-activated camera at the base of a tree. He turned away to move deeper into the jungle and a horrifying sight met his eyes. Before he could clearly register the creature in front of him, however, a sharp something stabbed into his neck, and he fell to the forest floor immediately; the sudden and drastic change in blood pressure and lack of sufficient blood flow to his brain was all it took knock him out. A blinding white light flashed, but the creature was not phased by it. Instead it continued feeding while the blood was still warm.

The way he's leaning over and holding the guy down like that, it looks very menacing/predatory and realistic
plus that sucker/spike thing is just a sinister concept haha, very very nicely done in terms of technique but also it seems there was some thought put into this piece, as deceptively simple as it seems..
