ahahaa it really sucks when a canon ship ruins your OTP i feel ya xD But in my humble opinion I think Harry x Hermione would be kinda cliche, like the hero and the heroine pairing right? I don't think Harry x Hermione would be better at all. > v >

Well, its not really my OTP, its just from a common sense standpoint. If they were real people, I think that Harry and Hermione would compliment each other nicely. Maybe a bit cliche, but then again real life is one big cliche for the majority of the time.

From a reader standpoint, I personally think that romance should have been kept well out of the main Trio, and left for the secondary characters, such as Neville/Luna, to give readers some fan-service (can you call that service?).

But all of this is strictly IMO.

Hmm I feel like because Ron and Hermione were always quarreling with each other and generally had more going on than with Harry and Hermione, as Harry kinda seemed like the neutral friend between the two of them a lot of the time, Ron x Hermione is more interesting and makes Ron seem less like the third cog who isn't relevant...I feel like Harry x Hermione would be forced and boring.

I think although you could possibly rewrite Harry Potter to make Harry x Hermione work and change their character interactions from the beginning, Harry Potter as is called for Ron x Hermione, and it was a good decision by Rowling. This is a very subjective topic, of course. I think it just boils down to what Rowling wanted, haha.
I don't see how romance NEEDS to be strictly kept out of the golden trio, as long as the story isn't steered completely by romance, which it certainly isn't.

but yup that's all my opinion too... sorry if I'm coming off like I want to pick a fight or something, I just like discussing Harry Potter x,D feel bad ranting about HP on someone's art haha sorry Chasikrat....0 v 0 love the art too btw > v >;
