One of my favourite parts about this photo is how you managed to keep a lot of the detail in the sky. I noticed that with many sunset or sunrise photographs, much of the sky is washed out or over-exposed and much of the beautiful colour is lost. Good job on keeping the exposure even in this photo.
Now, while it is really a spectacular scene with the colours and the elevated point of view, I believe that shifting your perspective a little could have made the composition a little more interesting. When we see something so beautiful, we often automatically want to place our focal point in the middle. Even though it's still very nice to look at, putting the sun in the middle both vertically and horizontally stops it from being more interesting. Have you ever looked into the rule of thirds? If you're looking to get more into landscape photography, practising your framing with the rule of thirds in mind can really take your shots from "really nice" to "spectacular". It doesn't mean that you always have to follow that rule, but it will definitely get you some very good results.
I like that there is some part of the rock in the foreground. It adds a nice touch of depth to the scene and makes the viewer imagine himself or herself standing where you were with your camera. I would love to see another angle on this with more of the rock in the frame and the sunset just lighting the landscape.
Composition aside (the only thing I could really nitpick about), and in conclusion, the colours are beautiful, the exposure is nice and even, the scenery is beautiful and I'd say it's definitely a framer. Well done!

Hello Nadja - thank you so much for your thoughtful critique! I appreciate you taking the time to give me advice on how I can improve my photography, and the interesting thing is that a perspective shift was something I was considering here...but opted for the traditional "head-on" shot instead. I agree with you, actually - perhaps next time I may shoot from an angle and capture the sun on a tilt, along with the landscape.

In my opinion, we were dreaming a lot when we were young, so we didn't notice anything around as,
now we are living in the past, we wish we took more notice of the world around us when we were young.

Yes - I suppose that's kind of like how that song goes: "You are young and life is long... and there is time to kill today..." (Pink Floyd, "Time")
But then, we cannot live in the past - we must try to enjoy the present as much as we can...
I should talk, of course - I have not always lived up to that aspiration, but we can't return to a moment in time, unfortunately.
