It's that time again! Time to take photos of all my lovely pets and give you all a little information about them.
I'll be updating with one a day for the next 5 days. 
Some of you might recognize her already, but this is my precious Lily-Bunny. 
Lily, like most white cats, is deaf She gets along with pretty much everyone but the dog. She loves when people scratch the bridge of her nose Of all five of my cats she has the shortest tail. She loves going outside and exploring She is the most "model" like of all my cats because she can pose for hours! I call her "bunny" for a lot of reasons but mainly because she hops around like one. oh, I think you're right. Your lily bunny is like a unicorn, white animals always seem to exude magic and mystery like unicorns! I'm akways attracted to white horses too!

Yes, it's more common in white cats with blue eyes. Even if a white cat has two different color eyes it is almost certain the sie with a blue eye will be deaf. Cat's do rule.

Shes so adorable! She kinda reminds me of my cats (all are white, one is named Lily, and I call one of them Bunny XD ) but mine aren't as pretty and camera happy!
My female Lily XD... sometimes doesnt react when I make a noise, she's only 6. Do some white cats slowly become deaf or is it usually right from the start?

Lily is the only one of my pets that poses. All the others have camera ADD. 
The two deaf cats I have owned (Lily and Gabriel) were both born deaf so I am not sure. Maybe check with your vet the next time you visit.

I use a Canon Powershot G3, it's considered pretty old now and it only have 4 mega pixels. I will actually be buying a new camera soon but that will also be a Canon Powershot because I really like this brand.

the powershot series is very good, a dear friend got two cameras, and they are both very nice to handle with.
i just wanted to ask because the picture looked better than just taken with 4 mega pixels.

According to this site [link] The tapetum lucidum is generated from the same stem cells as melanocytes (pigment cells). The blue eyes in a piebald or epistatic white cat indicates a lack of tapetum. Deafness is caused by an absence of a cell layer in the inner ear that originates from the same stem cells as well.Lily, although she has green eyes is also deaf, and another white cat I had, Gabriel, with yellow eyes was deaf too. Don't worry, it really doesn't bother her and she has a wonderful life. Plus, being deaf, she is our only pet that isn't horribly afraid of the vacuum cleaner.
