Marozi’s brain eventually catches up with him. He runs inside and slides across the counter while Xander is looking at the menu. Rafe seems to think this is a new development in his plan to send Xander to hell, not that Xander isn’t doing a good job of making sure he goes to hell on his own. Rafe tries to figure out what Xander is doing, and thinks that he’s probably come to have it out with Esme. Xander tries to order Regular, not Decaf, not Espresso, not a Frappuccino not this Americano crap and certainly nothing to do with a Latte but as usual has difficulty communicating. Marozi wishes he had a gun. What good he thinks that would do him is anyone’s guess. Maybe he wants to…oh wait I remember now, kill Xander and send him to hell. Xander tells him to get in line. Then Ves goes to sit and enjoy his coffee as he waits for Jones and Marozi is left wondering what will happen if he doesn’t intervene. I’m swapping between first names and last names in a very confusing way, am I not? It’s Ves Xander, Rafe Marozi, and Esme Jones. And Xander goes by his middle name sometimes too, just to make it extra confusing.
Synopsis:
Aging telepath Evil Overlord Xander has traded his youthful dream of joining the US military and using his superpowers to benefit humanity for over-the-hill cynicism, self-imposed exile on his private zoo-for-crazy-people Eynhallow Island, and a serious case of May-December midlife crisis. And technically it's only kidnapping if she tries to leave.  or the fun version
