The power scaling is so wack right now in Super, but that is not to say it decreases the fun in watching it.

Ah, no... Broly pulled a Trunks. Broly is directly inspired by Trunk's bulky transformation and loss of pupils (in the Cell Saga). So many are unaware of this. Even Dragonball fans.
